Change of Name: PROFEL_18.12.2009

OEITFL, the association of EU fruit and vegetable processors, is changing its name:

As of 1st January 2010 our association’s new name will be PROFEL.

For the record, the organisation represents the interests of EU manufacturers of canned, frozen and dehydrated vegetables, and of jams, preserves and similar products, canned deciduous fruit and compotes.

 

PROFEL’s over 500 companies produce approximately:

  • Preserves/Jams: 650.000 Tons
  • Canned Fruit: 1.200.000 Tons*
  • Canned Vegetables: 2.300.000 Tons*
  • Frozen Vegetables: 2.500.000 Tons
  • Dried Vegetables: 35.000 Tons
*: 1 Kg = 1 can 850 ml
